The arrival of the child’s first tooth is a much awaited occasion for most parents. In fact, numerous parents become fairly relieved when the tooth will finally come out after all the sleepless nights they had. However, some children are actually born with teeth, literally! Some are born with a few teeth and this startles a lot of parents when they initially see the teeth on their newborns.

Normally, when these happen in developing nations, the doctors simply eradicate the teeth when they could. Apparently, this tends to scare the parents especially if they are informed about the disadvantages and dangers which could happen to the child who're born with teeth. These newborn teeth are referred to as natal teeth. Most people believe that when a baby has these teeth they are either mentally retarded or they're born too old. Neither of those beliefs have any relevance to the existence of the teeth.

These natal teeth are very unusual and occuring one time for every 2,000 newborns, and this could certainly be painful for the infant because it is loosely attached to the gums and it can simply be removed and swallowed when feeding over a milk bottle which can actually do more injury on the baby. This can even cause pain on the mother’s nipple when the child is feeding. There are particular conditions that the tongue of the child will likely be harmed if the child has these. Ask the paediatrician or pediatric dentist on what may be done to eradicate the natal teeth before it harms both you and your infant. Bear in mind that these first teeth is not safe and you will be able to be relieved once it will be removed. Anaesthesia may not be desired in its elimination for the reason that these teeth are quite loose.
