How do I sell my car properlyTweetDate: Jan 31, 2012 | Views: 11 | Comments: 0 Selling a car is not an easy and light business at all. There are a lot of things you have to watch out for and a lot of things that can go wrong regardless of your actions. Fortunately, unlike a car dealer, an average driver has to do it only a couple of times in his whole life. Yet even despite of that it can actually make his head hurt. First of all, it may be difficult to find a buyer at all. Then, after finally finding one, the buyer very often demands a lower price and many drivers agree as to finally get rid of their vehicle and get over with the trouble. However, that is not something that I would do if I wanted to get the most of my car before I get rid of it. If I would have to sell my car, I would do it with a plan. The first part of my plan would be writing a good advertisement. A good ad has a short and informative title, and a detailed and colorful content. When it comes to the title, I would write the following things only - make of the car, its model, the year it was produced, and the general condition of a car, for example, 'good' or 'needs minor repairs only'. That is all the title needs as its role is to inform a buyer what kind of a car he will be looking at once he clicks on the hyperlink. What does it mean that the actual content should be detailed and colorful, though? Exactly what it says. Make sure to describe your car thoroughly, provide a brief history of repairs and check-ups, any car crashes or fender benders it has been involved in, etc. An offer that is only a couple sentences long will not convince anyone to contact you. To make things more colorful, upload a few pictures of your car. They are of vital importance as they allow a buyer to imagine himself having your car. Moreover, if I want to sell my car quickly and efficiently, I log on every major car-auction website and post my offer over there. This way I make sure that it will be read by at least dozens of people on a daily basis. That is all I need to quickly find a few buyers to choose from. Finally, what I would do is to prepare myself for negotiations. It is very probable that once a buyer comes and sees the car he will want to haggle a bit. It is slowly becoming a tradition on the market of used cars, therefore, do not let yourself be surprised by that fact. Instead, prepare yourself to counter the possible arguments of a buyer. Think about how to answer any attack on your car. Focus on its disadvantages as they are the most likely targets for a buyer to attack if he wants to lower the price. You must be able to convince him that these disadvantages are not serious enough to negotiate the already low price. It appears there are a couple of things I have to do if I want to sell my car with a humble profit. But until the vehicle I am trying to sell is not totaled, all this work is definitely not going to be wasted. If it is totaled, however, the best and only way to get cash for it is to simply scrape it.
