Winter weddings Tips

A romantic sleigh ride over the twinkling white snow in the sunshine, and a roaring fireplace at the reception. If you are dreaming of this, it sounds like you have a winter wedding in mind. The palette can be either warm and inviting (eggplant and lavender) or sparking and fresh like new-fallen snow (icy blue accented with silver and navy, warm reds with silver or gold etc). Use these colors in the bridal bouquet and the bridesmaid’s dresses to create your perfect winter wedding ceremony.

Decorate the road and party site with cressets of your winter wedding. An open fire in-doors and a lot of candles will of course increase the gorgeous atmosphere. Serve your wedding guests a hot drink instead of champagne at the reception. Does the winter wedding sound perfect idea for you now?

The wedding tables can be decorated with evergreens, gardenias, calla lilies and rhinestones.

If you are planning a winter wedding, there are a lot of advantages, such as:

- It is easier to book your church or other wedding site
- It is easier to book your party site
- It is easier to book your dressmaker
- It is easier to book your hairdresser and make-up
- Less risk that your wedding clashes with other weddings
- Less risk that your guests cannot attend (due to vacations etc)

If you love skiing, a winter wedding will be perfect for you. But for the reason of cold climate of winter, wedding needs to be prepared with more attention. Here are some useful tips for winter wedding: The style of the winter wedding dress may be your first criteria, it isn’t the only factor to be considered. Column dresses and strapless dresses may look enticing, but these are only great during the summer. You should also consider comfort, which you may not be able to enjoy if you are shivering in a cold. A beautiful bride does not have to show a lot of skin on her winter wedding. There are off-shoulder dresses with long or flowing sleeves designed specially for the winter wedding. However, if you are really insistent on styles which aren’t warm, consider wearing a shawl, a white faux fur or velvet wrap. You can also replace the traditional veil with a flowing cape that shields your shoulder and bodice from the cold.

One of the things you can do is to wear a strapless or short-sleeved winter wedding dress and a white, faux-fur cloak over it. Keep your hair down and wear a glittering tiara on your head. To keep your hands warm, wear a matching white muff. You can also wear a shawl or wrap instead of a coat for the winter wedding, but it might hide more of your dress. If you opt to do this, make sure that the skirt of your dress is ornate while keeping the top simple. Sincerely hope the above information will be helpful and make your winter wedding more special.
