That being said sometimes it’s the seemingly simple things that tend to be the most difficult to sort out.

Recently my boss popped his head around my computer screen at 10:00am and asked me to sort out lunch food for a meeting being held at 1:00pm the same day for 12 people.  I smiled and said yes & thought to myself – no problem, we’re centrally located with tons of lunch options in the area; I’ll make a phone call & job done.  We’ll that was the last happy though I had for the next stress filled hour.  Apparently getting lunch for 12 people is more difficult that anyone would have imagined.

I was faced with delivery times that could not be met, orders needing to be place the prior day, restaurants that don’t do delivery or takeaway.  The list of negative responses seemed endless.  Then suddenly the clouds parted and the sun shone as I spoke with an incredibly friendly man at Randall & Aubin.  He assured me my needs could be met & directed me to their website where I could access the extensive delivery menu.  After quickly printing a copy off, my boss was able to check off exactly what he wanted along with the rest of the colleges who would be working through their lunch.  Another quick phone call back to Randall & Aubin and job done.

Since it was excruciating work getting to that point I was still uneasy waiting for the food to arrive.  I was also nervous about the quality, having never used them before.  I needn’t have worried for there wasn’t a glitch to be found. The food arrived on time and the order was correct.  (I’ve had my fair share of delivery orders turning up & being completely wrong or items forgotten).

The best part was the feedback I received from those in attendance.  Everyone absolutely loved the food as well as myself who was lucky enough to get a meal, as one person had to leave before lunch.  Incredibly fresh ingredients, abundance of flavour and great sized portions.  That accompanied with the great service that was unmatched I haven’t a bad word to say.  The fact that I received all the credit for a great lunch only increases Randall & Aubin in my opinion & guarantees my return custom.
