Aion Combat Strategy 2Date: Nov 22, 2009 | views: 877 | Comments: 0As hard as you will try to avoid aerial combat in the Abyss, it's still going to happen. What should you do if you get into an aerial combat situation? It depends; if you are fighting a melee class like Templar, you can either just go head on with them in the air, just remember to use Pain Rune to stun since you can't use Binding Rune. But the best way is to force them into a ground battle by getting on to the ground yourself, because they are melee too and they need to get close in order to hit you, so they have no choice but to follow you. However that being said, the majority of aerial combat is going to be with ranged classes, generally Sorcerer and Ranger are going to give you the most trouble in the air. If you happen to survive their surprise attack from mid air while you are killing other mobs, then fly up or down as much as possible to get out of their spell/attack range. Here is why you fly vertical, and not horizontal. When you are flying vertically you accelerate a lot faster than horizontally, so it's a lot easier to fly out of their range, and if they choose to following it is hard for them to cast/attack you while going vertical. Once you get out of their target range go into Hide, remember you can use hide while you're in mid-air too from here you would just try to get behind them and act as if it is ground combat. The idea is to keep up with them in the air so that they don't have a chance to attack back, and in order to keep up with them in the air you must have Greater Scroll with you to increase your flying speed. Keep them pressured, until they run low on flying time.
