Contact lenses are usually very delicate; a single scratch can damage it permanently. The person cleaning the lens should be very careful and steady.

During the day time, when contact lenses are used most, the contact lenses get dry often. Cleaning the lens and soaking it in the solution is not possible when you are outside. During the day time, a person should use the eye drop provided with the lens. This eye drop makes the contact lens wet and lubricated. If this dryness of the lens is ignored, it can cause irritation. The eye drop not only keeps the contact lens dry but also clears out the dirt and other deposits.

Blinking the eye keep the contact lenses clean and prevent from drying. When you blink your eyes, the fluid that comes out washes the lens of dirt and other deposits.
It is very important to clean and keep the lens wet. If a person does not clean the contact lenses properly and regularly, he or she can face several problems regarding his eyes. The dirt layers that get deposited on the lens can even cause serious eye infection. Even if the lens cleaning takes some time, it should be neglected.
